影像處理與圖形識別常使用空間遮罩運算 (Mask Operation)，

或稱為旋積 (Convolution)。在基礎影像處理課程裡，

大家可能學過平均濾波器 (Average Filter)、邊偵測用的 Sobel Operator，

更複雜一點的遮罩，

如高斯平滑化 (Gaussian Smoothing)、LOG (Laplasian of Gaussian)。
